What’s equally important to me is the wonderful mix of people you see celebrating everywhere about this. You can see it in our neighborhoods, on TV, and hear about it from friends. We all have to make this work and it will be hard work.
The election of America’s first president of African-American descent is beginning to leave an indelible impression on me as a landmark event in this great country. What strikes me most is the degree to which the human consciousness has matured within this country. Just a few generations ago this man’s human rights would have been sub-prime!
